Irene and Chris had the most amazing, intimate wedding at Fogo Island Inn in Newfoundland. I feel so lucky to have been part of this adventure with them. Fogo Island Inn is an incredible place from the amazing architecture and design to the unbelievable staff who treated all of us like family from the second we walked in. I have never experienced anything like it. The views, the food, the wine, and the wonderful people of the island really made it a wedding to remember. Irene and Chris wanted to let the natural landscapes and architecture speak for themselves instead of using any decorations, and it was the best idea ever. I have never seen so much natural beauty. We were lucky enough to have a few island orientations (which I have hundreds more photos from) and learned the history of Fogo Island. The night before the wedding we enjoyed a bonfire with Irene and Chris’s family and friends outside of the inn. We listened to traditional music and had a Newfoundland boil on the rocks. On the wedding day we went foraging for food to use for dinner as well as flowers for Irene’s bouquet. It was a really unique experience. The wedding day was calm and lovely. We were never rushed. We just explored, had fun and they got married. It was the best. Their ceremony overlooking the ocean was one of the many highlights. Chris even had a next level surprise by inviting Irene’s favourite artist Rose Cousins to perform at the ceremony. To say she was in shock is an understatement. It was a beautiful wedding and watching the sunset over the rarely-seen icebergs was a magical way to end the evening.
Absolutely stunning Danielle!
Thank you! <3
